WHAT WON’T PHYSICAL THERAPY DO?
- Physical therapy will not cure your knee osteoarthritis.
- Physical therapy cannot be expected to treat severe pain- this is a situation where you will need evaluation and other medical treatment from your knee specialist.
- Physical therapy will not fix you in one day. You can expect to have about 6 to 12 sessions, but you will have to work on your home program for months to get good results.
- Physical therapy cannot work if you don’t put in the time and effort. It requires your active interest and participation.
