Physical therapy isn’t “one size fits all”.  Ideally, each person gets a personalized rehabilitation program based on their specific goals and level of fitness.  Your therapist is an expert at creating a program that exactly fits your needs.  He/she performs an evaluation and recommends specific exercises based on observations of your individual deficits in strength, balance, core stability, and flexibility.   If you do not have the option to see a therapist, then a handout of exercises are probably better than nothing.  However, if seeing a therapist is an available resource, you should utilize it if you decide that you want to try and get maximum benefits of physical therapy.
